06:52
|

Verse 1
Time and time again
I look upon their reign
Still never do I see any rhyme or reason
Their errors teach them not
They live by afterthought
For their faults they accuse their kind of treason
Verse 2
Chronicles untold
and legends I withhold
Yet this world never ceases to surprise me
From their births to their end
their history is penned
They live their lives in ignorance, carefree
Chorus
My plight is to watch them,
tasked by the universe to witness the rise and the fall
The eternal sage that wanders indifferently
for theirs is this world to ruin or rejuvenate
Interlude
I behold myriads of stars that burst in flames and give new life
and gods and titans engulfing worlds in cosmic war
Yet in their feeble minds they are the center of all strife
They pray to gods yet see themselves as much more
Such self-importance has led greater reigns to their downfall
long before the horsemen could reap their souls
They fail to see that greater beings rule above all
although they worship them in their holy scrolls
Chorus
My plight is to watch them,
tasked by the universe to witness the rise and the fall
The eternal sage that wanders indifferently
for theirs is this world to ruin or rejuvenate
Verse 3
All that I have seen cannot compare to their turmoil
It seems whatever they find they will spoil
Throughout the eons when I’ve wandered I’ve come to realize
some things are meant not to change and I must leave them alone to die

Wounds in Immortal Flesh
07:38
|
|||
Chorus
In its infancy
floating in a cosmic sea
The spark of consciousness
gave birth to the elder beings
For the longest time
the self-proclaimed divine
sought out to create
worlds of mindless peons
I defied their will
their intentions most ill
they struck me down
Verse 1
Many know the tale of the fallen god
The demiurge that sheltered the weak and flawed
From his wounds, his legacy was born
In our hearts, a divine, inherited scorn
Bridge
Through him, his battles, we learn that even gods can bleed
if there is a soul with an ardent will, and the courage that they lack
Through time and hardship, their age loses meaning
and as we grow, both stronger and prouder, their threats and deceit speak all the louder
Wounds in immortal flesh that show us we are not worthless
Chorus
In its infancy
floating in a cosmic sea
The spark of consciousness
gave birth to the elder beings
For the longest time
the self-proclaimed divine
sought out to create
worlds of mindless peons
Verse 2
The rage
The treachery
His curses on the first page
in the tome of ancestry
His mind
His vengeful plot
to protect mankind
while left to die and rot
Verse 3
My final gift to you
though young you still are
Your efforts won't fall through
heed the warning from his memoir
Verse 4
Though downtrodden, or so we thought
there is still hope to survive
If we look for hope where we ought
we may one day live as we strive
As the legacy of a dead god
we know we’re never unarmed
We see through his equals facade
They pretend they cannot be harmed
Chorus
In its infancy
floating in a cosmic sea
The spark of consciousness
gave birth to the elder beings
For the longest time
the self-proclaimed divine
sought out to create
worlds of mindless peons
I defied their will
their intentions most ill
they struck me down

Forgotten Gods
05:12
|
|||
Verse 1
The universe is bleeding
The fields are suffocating
Lo! Your temples crumble
while crow and vermin feast
The sacred tome of olden days
collects dust and decays
Know(!) its wisdom would have lead
to a reign that never ceased
Some claim they can see your fates:
the diluvial descension awaits
Lo! You deserve all of this
for mocking effigies
Religion was made clandestine
no one saw eye to eye
Hate(!) for gods that never show
Turns them into enemies
Pre-chorus
They’ll watch from far away
throughout strange aeons of decay and contempt
They won't care for you no more you’re
abandoned by forgotten gods for all time!
Verse 2
Their temples lie beneath the waves
under storms none braves
None(!) could ever hope to see
what their ancient worship fed
Plague will reap the last of you
there’s little faith you can renew
When(!) your pride has you blinded
thinking yourself enlightened
Extending unknown frontiers
could have saved you many years
Now(!) you’re left with worthless scrolls
and decrepit antiquary
Sealed away by a veiled entrance
Dormancy’s their vengeance
Hah! Though they’re withering away
theirs is a pyrrhic victory
Pre-chorus
They’ll watch from far away
throughout strange aeons of decay and contempt
They won't care for you no more you’re
abandoned by forgotten gods for all time!
Chorus
Rotting for many a century
their halls echo with silent prayers
Their world’s a mere penitentiary
a putrid kingdom with no heirs
The warden guards your mortal lives
Fleeing the plague you march onwards
Pillaging the earth where no one survives
Fading away with forgotten gods
Chorus
Rotting for many a century
their halls echo with silent prayers
Their world’s a mere penitentiary
a putrid kingdom with no heirs
The warden guards your mortal lives
Fleeing the plague you march onwards
Pillaging the earth where no one survives
Fading away with forgotten gods

Price of Freedom
04:48
|
|||
Verse 1
I have always followed
the order to kill
No questions I ask
No mercy I give
Throughout my life
I have been paid
to take a life
for another's gain
I am no fool
I know my worth
For a pile of gold
I’ll reverse a birth
And then one day
I was given a choice
to walk my own path
and sever my chains
Verse 2
My liege had me sent
to a distant land
to kill their king
and all his kin
I was given a fleet
and a hundred men
to pillage the land
and rape the women
But he made a mistake
and he gave me the gold
before I’d left
to leave their bodies cold
I will do no such thing
I will not go to war
I’m a rich man now
I’ll find a new home
Chorus
Now I am hunted throughout the land
I’ll have to run for eternity
Still I would do it all again
If just to change my destiny
My head is worth it’s weight in gold
No prophet can tell what fate unfolds
Still I would do it all again
I would not go back to the old
Verse 3
I will live my life on the run
but a free man nonetheless
The riches I’ve gained in my past life
will have to keep me alive
The tales I could tell if I had someone
to write them down for me
would make my former liege and King
a laughing stock for eternity
Chorus
Now I am hunted throughout the land
I’ll have to run for eternity
Still I would do it all again
If just to change my destiny
My head is worth it’s weight in gold
No prophet can tell what fate unfolds
Still I would do it all again
I would not go back to the old

Hell Above, Grave Below
05:45
|
|||
Verse 1
Infertile land
knee deep in mud, we all stand
amidst the chaos, raid kingdoms
We kill off kings, sword in hand
Ruins that the rain whips
and hulls of once great, big ships
we have left in our wake
Bring forth apocalypse
Chorus
All is equal as prey
and what’s right decided with melee
We shall reap what others sow
It’s either hell above or a grave below
Verse 2
In pain we were born
and fierce was the firestorm
We’re bred by strife and woe
Turned to locust that swarm
We are the scourge
the hidden, primal urge
The force that defies rules
by which all is purged
Chorus
All is equal as prey
and what’s right decided with melee
We shall reap what others sow
It’s either hell above or a grave below
Bridge
Strife teaches us more than blind faith, thus we’ve chosen war
Cruel and twisted is he who spits on those not born as free
Chorus
All is equal as prey
and what’s right decided with melee
We shall reap what others sow
It’s either hell above or a grave below

Verse 1
I can recall a day from my past
when I used to walk a free man
The night was still young, lit by the stars
and celestial wonders of the skyline most vast
There was a time when life and death
seemed like the very same thing
I was bound by my duty to fight for my kind
that filled me with purpose to my last breath
Chorus
I stepped into the light
With my last strength, rid of all fright
The presence that I felt, seemed most divine
It was the place where life and death entwine
In that moment we thought we'd see
the afterlife that our deacons would guarantee
But when we all finally came to
and saw before us what we had been through
we face the truth that the war had begun anew
Verse 2
New dawns rose, and to no-one’s surprise
dead enemies faced us again
Cursed by the gods to relive this fight
drowning in blood and our desperate cries
What had we done wrong, we did not know
We thought our devotion would be enough
Having no choice, we fought for our lives
Under the stars and their ominous glow
Interlude
If the gods want our blood spilled again and again
they will be most disappointed, for showing us disdain
Betrayed by the powers that be, who once blessed our reign
We will hunt you down, we swear we’ll come for you amain
Spoken
We’re veiled in infinite illusions
until the end of time, they’re plotting our demise
For when the divine differs not from the foe
none but the greatest men dare defy it
Chorus
I stepped into the light
With my last strength, rid of all fright
The presence that I felt, seemed most divine
It was the place where life and death entwine
In that moment we thought we'd see
the afterlife that our deacons would guarantee
But when we all finally came to
and saw before us what we had been through
we face the truth that the war had begun anew

Sword and Sermon
05:28
|
|||
Verse 1
We must cleanse them from their vile corruption
with sword and sermon
False prophets lead them to their destruction
to crawl with vermin
We fought hard for our place above them
arcane policy
Our rule will not succumb to this mayhem
or apostasy
Chorus
Our place among their holy ones
shall not be contested by new blood, or their sons
Palaces have been raised in our names
and none shall take it away from us, or tamper with our games
We rule behind a veil of shadows, with might none can oppose
Verse 2
When our gods fail we will turn to others,
be they kind or not
Offering our loyalty as brothers,
retracing our plot
We remain in power with these prayers,
guiding the blinded,
as we must, for we’re the hierophants heirs
forever undead
Verse 3
And when the time is drawing near
our new lords word shall spread for all the world to hear
With time our grasp of power slips
but with sword and sermon we’ll alter their old scripts
Chorus
Our place among their holy ones
shall not be contested by new blood, or their sons
Palaces have been raised in our names
and none shall take it away from us, or tamper with our games
We rule behind a veil of shadows, with might none can oppose

Titans' Gate
06:11
|
|||
Verse 1
The ground shook as the slumbering giants convulsed in pain
The last heirs of an abominable war for a long gone reign
Imprisoned by the gods that they fought in the times they ruled
Dethroned, cast away, forever ridiculed
Bridge
Gods! I’ll tear their walls asunder!
Beasts with roars that rival thunder!
Verse 2
Far have I travelled from my home, from my kingdom
A quest to save humankind, guided by eldritch wisdom
Beyond their gate, lies our hope to survive the coming aeons
Released are the ancient masters of vast and cursed legions
Pre-chorus
Might bestowed upon me beyond mere men
To throw this world into the grip of chaos again
Chorus
Time has come to open the titans’ gate
Fight by my side! Together we can forge our own fate
Face the four horsemen, bow down to no god
Their deaths mark the end of oppression that must be paid with blood
So opens the gateway
